Kunal M. Ganti is an associate with Matushek Nilles LLC. He concentrates his practice on product liability, toxic torts, and occupational injury claims. Much of his practice involves asbestos litigation.

Legal Experience: Mr. Ganti has represented product manufacturers and employers in numerous toxic tort, product liability, and occupational injury cases, and has experience in the defense of workers' compensation claims. In addition to his wide and varied deposition experience, he has represented Illinois' employers in all phases of litigation including acting as first chair for trials before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission. Moreover, he has successfully mitigated his clients' exposure while securing beneficial settlements and trial decisions. Mr. Ganti also has extensive experience briefing and arguing employers' appeals before the Illinois Circuit Courts and Appellate Courts.

He previously served as an extern for Judge Irwin Solganick at the Circuit Court of Cook County. In that capacity, he was able to gain a unique perspective on jury trials while observing toxic tort and medical malpractice trials in the Law Division.  

Professional Associations and Activities: Mr. Ganti is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, and is the lead guitarist for the music group, Valius.

Education: Kunal Ganti earned his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School, where he was Staff Editor for The Review of Intellectual Property Law. He wrote his comment on trade secret law and how it intersected with high frequency trading firms on Wall Street. In addition, he served as Council Member for the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Council, as well as the Moot Court Council. He also received a CALI award for the highest grade in International Intellectual Property. Mr. Ganti received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2005.

Admitted to Practice: Mr. Ganti is admitted to practice before the Illinois Supreme Court.
