Morgan L. Hochheiser is an associate with Matushek LLC who concentrates her practice on the defense of asbestos litigation, product liability, and toxic tort claims. She is part of a trial team for a national refractory company, and defends product liability and premises-related asbestos cases in Illinois. Ms. Hochheiser has experience in deposing fact and expert witnesses, researching and drafting motions, and assisting in discovery and trial preparation. She has second-chaired a trial in the defense of a physician, resulting in a defense verdict.
Legal Experience: Prior to joining Matushek LLC, Morgan Hochheiser practiced as an insurance defense lawyer engaged in the defense of physicians, hospitals, nursing homes and other health care providers in medical malpractice claims with a small Chicago firm.
Professional Associations and Activities: Ms. Hochheiser is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
Education: Morgan Hochheiser earned her B.A. in History and Sociology from Indiana University. She obtained her J.D. in 2013 from The John Marshall Law School. During law school, Morgan was Symposium Editor of the Journal of Information Technology and Privacy Law, and a member of the Moot Court Counsel.
