Vincenzo R. Chimera

Vincenzo R. Chimera is an associate with Matushek LLC. He concentrates his practice on product liability, toxic torts, and occupational injury claims, including asbestos litigation.

Legal Experience: Mr. Chimera previously was an associate in a boutique law firm engaged in complex civil litigation. He has defended pharmacy malpractice, premise liability, and federal civil rights cases. He has skillfully taken numerous plaintiffs’ depositions in asbestos and toxic tort cases, and cross-examined opposing expert witnesses.

Mr. Chimera also served as an extern for the Honorable James P. Flannery, Presiding Judge of the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, and for the Honorable Thomas M. Durkin for the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois. He also completed an internship with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois. In that capacity, he was able to develop his litigation skills by preparing an appellate brief for the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Professional Associations and Activities: Mr. Chimera is a member of the Chicago Bar Association.

Education: Vincenzo Chimera earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from Chicago Kent College of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, and President of the Federalist Society. Mr. Chimera received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science magna cum laude from Carthage College in 2012.

Admitted to Practice: Mr. Chimera is admitted to practice before the Illinois Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of Missouri.
